Virtual Appointments

Once an appointment is requested, the referring source will contact CNS Consultants via our toll-free number. Our representative will connect the referring source with our on-call Consultant, and send a secure link for the ExamMed virtual appointment. We will supply each of our partner sites with the necessary equipment to complete the visits, as well as the secure remote links to their respective electronic health records. Our consultant will complete the virtual visit, provide timely documentation of the visit, and then personally communicate with the requesting provider. If the patient is deemed stable to remain at that facility, our consultant team will work closely with the on-site hospital providers and share our brain and spine admission protocols, effectively co-managing these patients through their brain and spine non-surgical admission. In the setting of a patient that truly requires a higher level of care for possible neurosurgical intervention, we will coordinate with the on-site providers in contacting local neurosurgeons and facilitate transfer to these sites in a concierge-like fashion.
